According to the statistics 35%-75% of men suffering from diabetes will face at least some degree of impotence or ED in their days.
Diabetics are inclined to grow erectile dysfunction about 5- 15 years earlier than men without diabetes. As diabetics grow old potency problems become more often. Approximately at the age of 50 the possibility of having erection problems happens to about 50%-60% of men with diabetes. For diabetics in the age of 70, there is about a 95% possibility of obtaining potency dysfunction.
The afflictions of erectile dysfunction in men with diabetes are complicated and involve nerve damage, corruption of blood vessel, and muscle dysfunction.
A normal process of erection requires healthy blood vessels, nerves, male hormones, and a sexual arousal. Diabetes damages the blood vessels and nerves that are responsible for penile erection. Diabetics usually have no problems with sexual desire and have normal hormonal balance still they are not able to achieve a firm erection.
Diabetics having potency problems are usually administered oral therapies for ED treatment. Besides leading a healthy life is necessary to keep the blood sugar under control.
Diabetics are inclined to have heart problems so only a medical professional can evaluate the severity of ED, prescribe oral ED medications and adjust the right dose.
Choosing the best treatment method depends on many factors including a man’s health and individual tolerance to the treatment. Your doctor will help you to fight the diabetes disease and avoid side effects such as impotence. Visit your doctor regularly, follow all his recommendations and keep your blood sugar under control.

In dogs the increased risk of disseminated arthritis was seen in 6 month studies. In a 12- month dog study, two dogs got marked decreases in white blood cells (neutrophils) and moderate decreases in platelets with inflammatory signs. Still these abnormalities disappeared after 2 weeks of removal of the drug.

Reproductions studies have shown no evidence of impaired fertility in mice and rats treated with tadalafil.

Teratogenicity, embryotoxicity and fetotoxicity have demonstrated no signs also: tadalafil was given to pregnant rats and mice.

Tadalafil and its metabolites were observed to cross the placenta, resulting in fetal exposure in rats. Tadalafil and its metabolites were found in the milk of lactating rats in higher concentrations than in plasma.
